CERTIFICATIONS

Certified our company and/or technicians are certified/ members of the following organizations.

At The Rug & Fabric Care Company, we take a personalized approach to each rug that comes in for cleaning. Our goal is to ensure the best result possible for your rug.

First, we conduct a full assessment of the rug, including a pre-condition report, measurements, fibre test, and colour run test. This allows us to tailor the cleaning process specifically to your rug’s needs. We will also email you a report with all the relevant information.

Our fully trained staff is equipped to handle any situation that may arise during the cleaning process. In rare cases where a second opinion is needed, we have consultants available to provide their expertise.

We utilize a range of equipment, processes, and products to achieve the best results. Our typical wash process consists of 7-12 stages. While we don’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach, a common wash cycle for a standard wool rug without decontamination or repairs includes the following steps:

  1. Pre-inspection, pre-condition report, measurements, fibre test, and colour run test.
  2. Dusting for dry soil removal using dusting machines and compressed air.
  3. Washing, which involves the application of preconditioners, agitation, and high-volume water flushing.
  4. Soaking the rug in a tub or pit.
  5. Secondary wash with preconditioners, agitation, and high-volume water flushing until the water is clear and all soiling and products are completely removed.
  6. Fibre rinse with scrubbing to ensure even drying.
  7. Centrifuge to remove up to 95% of the water from the rug.
  8. Drying room, where the rug is placed in our controlled environment for drying.
  9. Final treatments.
  10. Grooming, which is an essential part of the rug wash journey and is often overlooked.
  11. post-inspection, photos, and rolling up the rug for delivery.
Urine treatments and repairs would add additional step/s.

We hope this gives you a better understanding of our cleaning process.
